To obtain your passport, you will need to fill out an application. Usually they are available at your local post office or even online. You will need to provide the required govenrment issued identification, payment and a photo at the time of processing. Usually you will need to have someone like a minister, doctor or lawyer sign that they have known you for a certain amount of time and that you are who you say you are. All of this is dependent on which country you are applying to for a passport.

I just recently got my US passport.

1). First take a picture of your face with a digital camera (the picture must be taken in front of a white background such as a wall). Than if you have a printer and program, choose the option to print passport picture and print 2 of the same pictures. Otherwise, go to walmart and print off your 2 identical passport pictures.

2). Next find your birth certificate, drivers licence and social security card. If you do not have a birth certificate than you can obtain one at your local courthouse, a drivers license from secretary of state and a social security card from the social security building. You will need all three of these documents.

3). Finally, go to a post office near you that has passport applications and fill out the US passport form. Make sure you bring your birth certificate, drivers license (state id), social security card and your 2 identical passport pictures. There will also be a fee, which may vary depending on the type of passport you wish to obtain.

I hope this was helpful!
