Travel reimbursement

If you are paid less per mile for company business using your own car, than what the IRS allows, is the difference deductible?

Yes. IRS rate is 48.5 cents.

It has been increased as of 2008 with reimbursement of 50.5 cents per mile. If your company pays you less, in which mine does at 45.3 cents - the company expects you to file the difference with the IRS if you want to claim it. Keep your records!
