Yes very much so , and should pay the going rate, now that gas and machnics work costs so much , plus oil changes being 31 to 35, dollars , why not! dont let them treat you this away , let them get you a car to drive, you are losing money on your job,

When your company requires you to use your personal car for company business, it is customary for the company to reimburse you a specified amount per mile that you drive, but it is not required by any law. The key word here is "required." In many cases I've seen, a company authorized rental car, air travel or train travel but the employee opted to use his or her personal car instead. In that case, the company is not obligated to reimburse you for the personal use of your car either.

When you are requred (or authorized by your company) to use your personal car for business travel, if they do not reimburse you or they do not reimburse you a certain minimum amount, you can claim the expense or part of the travel expense as a deduction on your federal income taxes.
