Webanswers works off the synergy of the members, making us all responsible in a way for the success of the individual. You must have people asking questions and people who can provide quality answers in order for the site to make money.
In that, it really does depend on the quality of answers you provide and how active you are answering questions, as well as how well you promote the site.
How much money can you make? I probably wouldn't put a dollar amount out there, but $100 - $200 a month is completely possible, again, providing on how concise your answers are. Over time, you could make even more.
The best thing about the site is that WebAnswers doesn't pay its members, Google does. A pretty fair business arrangement. Just so you know how that works, consider the following:
1) A potential site visitor puts a query into their favorite search engine. Because you provided a good quality answer, a portion of the answer you were rewarded comes up as a possible match for their search query, and that visitor arrives at your answer on WebAnswers.
2) That visitor reads your well worded answer, and clicks on a related link that happens to be a Google Adwords Ad. Why? Because your well worded answer prompted a good keyword match to that advertisement, and your site visitor wants further information.
3) That advertiser paid an amount for that click, of which Google gets a portion, you get a portion, and WebAnswers gets a portion.
4) That site visitor remembers webanswers.com in the future and returns perhaps to ask a question of their own...and so on.
If you're passionate about the questions you answer, you'll come up with good answers, which in turn, helps us all out. Keep that in mind, and we'll all have more over time :)

How much money can be made through WebAnswers?
I understand how the money is earned, the award system and what is expected in an answer, but I've been spending more time answering questions after having been awarded for a few of my answers. So now I'm growing optimistic while having fun at the same time and thinking maybe a payday is in my future. However, I need some kind of verficiation of the financial possibilities - realistically. The home page states, "Our members earned $2,100 last month". Is that combined? Per member?
I don't need to know personal information from the sites gurus and I certainly hope a question such as this one is acceptable to WebAnswers. Also, if I could get something more than "it depends on how many answers you're awarded", or "you get out of it what you put into" type of responses. What I would like to know are the details of how the pay schedule is structured. Can anyone help?
Again, I'm really just enjoying sharing my opinions and knowledge through the site and want a good understanding of this aspect of the system. Thanks for your help in advance,

What if a question is asked that in turn generates clicks? I'm referring to having a keyword combination in that question that then generates traffic and clicks for one or another advertiser? Can you earn money with good questions?
You could earn more traffic with good questions, but you cant depend on the quality of the questions for traffic.
It is possible to make money on web answer just to make answer.
The $2,100 that members earned last month is an actual number. The top couple members have earned between $10-$20/day on a regular basis. Most members make enough a day to afford a free lunch, every day. The top couple members could possibly pay their car payment every month with what they make on this site.
The system on how you get paid isthat you answer questions, questions get indexed by search engines, people click on ads, earnings are tracked in your Google AdSense account. You are paid once your Google AdSense account hits $100. initally it make take a couple months to get that first $100, but once you do, you could be earning $100+ every month.
Alot of how much you make is determined by the quality of your answer, the how many questions you answer, how many of those get natural traffic from the search engines, how much link building that you do to those ones that you are awarded.

right now colemand you've posted about 80 answers, which means that you potentially have 80 questions that you can earn money on. The more you answer the more chances you have to make $5-10 or more a day.
This is not a fast make money over night scheme. it does take time, and a little bit of luck as well. But like i said, you can make your own luck by doing link building if you so chose to (but is not required)

SecretAgent added alot of good info that is correct. and to add to it. there are many people how have made over $100 in a single month and many more that have made at least $100 on WebAnswers.
The CPC of ads can vary from as low as 0.005 or so for a CPM ad that is paid on impressions to as high as $3 for some legal and other type clicks. Most clicks though are in the .10 to .25 range. Those clicks add up over time.
Mark my words, within 6 months we will have several users earning more than $100 a day. We have a few outstanding individuals who are providing a tremendous amount of content and more importantly VALUE to this platform.
