Web answers slow to post answers?

For certain questions to be answered. There has to be a person that knows the answer. Sometimes this person has to see the question posted. Sometimes this person will not even be on here at that time. By the time they do get on to answer any questions. Your question would work its way down the list. The more you wait the more your question gets pushed down further and further down the list from the other questions being posted. The person that can give you a best answer would have to search for your question in order to answer it and that will just put it at a chance that they would even find it. Now what I do for my questions is that I will give them alot of detail so I can have a better chance on getting a answer. And if I don't get a answer for lets say, two days then I would add a clarification. Then doing that your question will be back at the home page again for everyone to see. Remember the users on this site answering questions sometimes can't always answer your quesrions. For example if you asked how can I change a head gasket in my truck, what are the steps you have to take in order to do this? Lets say a user that doesn't know how to do this, would just ignor your question and the person that knows the answer would sometimes not be on his or her computer right now. I have seen question on this site that are over 400 days old that are not answered yet. I don't know why these questions are not answered. Some are realy easy. So yes sometimes you wont get a the answer right then and now but you will as long you put down as much info and detail they would need to help them find your answer faster. If you don't get a answer for a long time them maybe its too hard for them or maybe the question needs more clarification to it. Some users are experts on answering questions with a best answer even if it says that their a new user. The users who been here the longest just knows how to right the answer down in a way where it sounds better even if its the same answer as the new user. And theres poeple out there that like to copy from a nother web site and then past it to your questions. That helps but its not allowed. Then you have answer that just links that go to some other web site.

I stoped asking questions. Inless I realy need a answer.
So don't worry to much about the whole thing I have been down that road. We just got to wait and see what the answers are and when are they comming. They will unfortunately be answered sooner or later.

WebAnswers was having server problems that weekend and was going down alot. We rebalanced a few things with our servers and things are going much better.

@Electrical - There are thousands of questions on this site that haven't been answered. Sometimes finding a question can be a challenge. Questions asked today are being answered on a higher % basis then those answered a year ago. The more the site grows the more questions will get answered and answered faster.
